The National Australian Botanical Garden is entirely devoted to native plants of Australia. The Botanical Garden is nestled at the bottom of Black Mountain which offers many walking tracks taking in the flora and fauna of the region. Black Mountain also offers a wonderful 360 degrees view of Canberra, taking in views of the Parliament House, Australian Institute of Sport and Lake Burley Griffin.
Canberra region has 140 vineyards and most are within a 30 minute drive from the city centre. You will find approximately 30 cellar doors in the rural countryside and the district’s vineyards are small and friendly.
